Master of the San Juan de Oreinte, Nicaragua community, Gregorio Bracamonte has served as mentor to most quality artisans of the village.  Gregorio's focus remains the style and characteristics that made the Nicoya tradition one of the forgotten gems of Mesoamerican history.

Gregorio uses natural elements as pigments, including the sap of the Mora tree which remains black after burnishing and firing.  Recently Gregorio has earned acclaim for this style and his sculptures are being placed in museum collections around the world.
